Brief
History
According to
tradition the castle dates back to ca 1330. Built by the
Norman Adam Whitty, Cromwellian soldiers seized the castle in
1649. Henry Loftus of "Loftus Hall" was granted the castle in
1666. The current owners, the Cloney family, took up residence
in the early 1800's.
Dungulph Castle features in the "100 Wexford Country Houses"

from The Hook Lighthouse, reputed to be one of the oldest in
the world, the peninsula is renowned for its clear waters and
diversity of marine life. It boasts many safe sandy beaches,
shore and sea angling and is ideal for scuba diving.
Rich in culture and heritage it offers many historic sites,
all of which are worth a visit.
We are
located 45 min drive from Rosslare Europort. Waterford Airport
is 40 min drive via Ballyhack / Passage East car ferry. Dublin
Airport is 120 km away. Waterford City, Wexford Town and New
Ross are all only 30 min drive.
